A breast most cancers fundraiser held final weekend has raised greater than $11,000 for analysis into the lethal illness.
About 120 ladies attended the Ladies Go Pink occasion at Elouera Surf Lifesaving Membership final Sunday, which was organised by Sienna Thomas and Alison Morris.
Greater than 70 native companies got here on board as sponsors to donate gadgets, and the organisers thanked everybody who made a donation, bid on the silent public sale or attended the occasion.
“There have been many girls within the room who had been touched by breast most cancers themselves, or had associates or household coping with the illness,” Ms Morris stated.
“With the group coming collectively, the Ladies Go Pink occasion raised over $11,000 for breast most cancers analysis.”
Ms Morris, who owns Alasana Hypnotherapy and Yoga at Sylvania Waters, and Ms Thomas, a college scholar, joined forces to plan the occasion in a matter of weeks.
“We’re two ladies whom breast most cancers has touched via household and associates, and it was time for us to face up and lift cash and consciousness,” Ms Morris stated.
“On April 19 we didn’t actually have a venue.
“We sourced the venue, began promoting the occasion on April 21 and by April 23 we had bought out the occasion.
“We reached out to native shire companies and requested them to donate gadgets for fortunate door prizes and silent auctions, and the response from the group has been superb.”
Visitor audio system included breast most cancers survivor Leah Barthel, ladies’s empowerment coach Maddie Graham and Ms Morris, who stated she had overcome many adversities in her life and now devoted her time to serving to others change their lives via her work as a hypnotherapist and yoga trainer.
